IN GENERAL
The Seychelles, which is an island group of more than 150 islands 1000 miles from the nearest country, is all about the beaches. They are long, uncrowded and absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Mahe, the main island, appeals primarily to europeans. If it wasn't so far from the US it would be high on our list for a shorter trip. We had a wonderful time.

The galley crew prepared another buffet served up in the Main dining room's kitchen. The food carvers were at it again. Some of the team may have been from scandinavia.

Donna cleaned up for a romantic sunset with a hot date.
Her is Donna's new favorite guy Sasha, the bartender at the bar next door to the main dining room. The bar manager Nathan moves the staff around every month or so. When this happens Donna then has to begin retraining.
The sunset was accompanied by wonderful violin and piano music. Here is the violinist, Anna between tunes. She is a little thing like Donna and she is as shy as she is cute.
Father Bob, the ship's Catholic priest shares a view of the sunset with us on the night before arriving in Mahe, Seychelles.
The sunset was very beautiful.
The first view of the Seychelles in the early morning.
A partial panoramic view of the harbor at Victoria, on the island of Mahe, Seychelles. Verrry nice!!!!
We arrived on Sunday and things were pretty quiet.
In spite of the fact that almost everything in town was shut for the day, Donna finds the shopping.
LEFT..... Judy with Donna on the dock before we set out to shop.
RIGHT.....Guess who?
Donna, Judy, Loren and I set out in a cab for a small hotel on the far side of the island through empty streets. It was Sunday about noon in a place with an obvious island mentality.

WE SPENT THE DAY AT THE "SUNSET BEACH HOTEL"

The view of the pool from the restaurant with the sea beyond.
The pool was not too crowded. No competition for the beautiful private beach just o few feet away.
The restaurant at which we ate overlooked the water.
Some of the hotel's beach side rooms.
Judy and Loren getting into the island mentality.
This is basically how I met Donna in East Hampton.
Pretty nice background for this picture.
The hotel's private beach was not too crowded in spite of the fact that the hotel was fully booked. It must be pretty quiet here when it's not busy.
Much of the afternoon was spent looking up at this palm tree from it's shade. Actually this is a picture of the view looking up. Reality photography!!!
We did venture to the other end of the beach for a photo op. It was maybe all of 100 yards from our towels. After all, I did promise Donna I would start exercising.
Loren an Judy enjoying the water.
Donna gets tossed around by the crashing waves which sometimes topped 8 inches in height. There weren't many surfers. She needs to bulk up.
Our family picture compliments of my camera's self-timer.
The hotel had only 29 rooms, some of which had wonderful ocean views. ( The hotel was fully booked)
A very happy couple with a beautiful exotic background.
