The first morning. Still a little gray after leaving
Los Angeles
|
Dawn over the Pacific Ocean |
After the first big party there are
not too many people jogging. |
|
|
|
On the first morning the place is
a ghost town. |
The cruise director introducing
the people responsible for the food. They are already making jokes about
how relatively skinny everyone is at the beginning of the cruise. |
They have sculptors on board who
can make beautiful sculptures out of anything particularly any item made
of food or ice. |
|
|
|
Looking up at the roof of the atrium |
Some pretty fancy steps going up
from the lobby level. |
Ah!!! The steering wheel and no one
is around. Very tempting!!!! |
|
|
|
My first navigation lesson. I made
it clear I had worked as a land surveyor so they explained everything
three times. |
The windshield. I found myself, every
once and while, checking for icebergs. |
I noticed that no one was looking
out the windows. A little scary. |
|
|
|
With one look at the
control screens and with my navigation lesson under my belt I figured
I was ready to drive. |
It's not as fast as the Porsche but
I am able to pull 10,000 water skiers. |

Donna making new friends. (The head
bartender, Nathan) |
Donna making more new friends.(The
second officer, another David). |
Somehow Donna has arranged dinner
with the boutique manager, Tunda and the on-board pearl salesman, Justin.
This was a very scary dinner. |
|
|
Donna finally catches up with the
most important men in her life, the bartenders. |
